1983 Chuck E. Cheese Gameroom Walkthrough

Remember when Chuck E. Cheese didn’t suck? I sure do. When I was young, I had a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese and it was amazing – cheap pizza, soda, an animatronic band, a crawl-through maze, ball pits, and…an arcade of Epic proportions! Sure, Chuck E. Cheese still exists today. In fact, I even took my own child there for a birthday party. However, it has certainly changed and is nothing like the memories of my youth.

It’s good then that we have the following video. In it, a Chuck E. Cheese employee takes his video camera and records a walk-through of a brand new store opening on 43rd Street in Phoenix. This video is amazing for so many reasons – the vintage feel, the detailed walkthrough showing retro signage, cars, and more, and even the surprised look of the manager seeing a video camera for the first time! However, being a gameroom junkie, I’m focused on how amazing the gameroom was. Just look at all those fresh-from-the-box games! Simply incredible – ENJOY!
