So It Begins

Hello World. Looking forward to starting out on this journey. Patrick and I recently sat down and recorded initial audio for our first podcast of Gameroom Junkies. Patrick has taken the audio files to make some level adjustments, reduce noise, add cool intro music, etc – all the things we need to do in post production to get this thing up to a level of quality you would want in a podcast.

So Gameroom Junkies – what is it? We do talk about this on the first episode a bit, but basically your hosts Preston and Patrick are just two “regular guys” who happen to collect arcade games and pinball machines along with other stuff to go into our home gamerooms. Are we experts? No. Do we have insider industry information? No. Will we provide interviews with legends in gaming? No. Basically, we just love the hobby and want to share our experiences and love for the gameroom with anyone who will listen.

We’re also hoping that this opens the door for others to share their stories with us as well. In fact, we plan on featuring one collector interview per episode. These collectors don’t have to have massive collections. The people we want to talk to may only have two or three games in their gameroom, but we want to hear their (your) stories about your gaming and collecting experiences, along with sharing some info about your gameroom.

We’re not sure where this journey will take us, but I, for one, am excited to find out. Stay tuned for the first episode shortly…
